2025 Bands on the Beach - Justin Touchette And The Way

Justin Touchette and The Way may seem like a new band at first glance. However, that is not quite as it seems. Justin Touchette is a wounded veteran and a Nashville Recording artist who moved to the Gulf Coast to assemble a band to tour on the release of his new ep. He did not have to look too far before he found his backing band. A band you may remember as Moderate Chop. Moderate Chop performed several Bands On The Beach shows in the 2010s ,as well as, at every other venue along the coast. United these two form Justin Touchette and The Way. They blend Country,Southern Rock and Blues for a sound all their own.

Justin handles the lead vocals and acoustic guitar. While on lead guitar we have Joshua Strickland (formerly of Moderate Chop). Joshua continues the tradition of his family the Curles. Known best for The Curle Brothers(Shawn and Glenn Curle) as well as the Doug Curle Blues Band. Shawn Brown handles the drums and backing vocals. Shawn has been playing the Gulf Coast for the better part of four decades. He is best known for his time with the Kee Creek Band(one of the top local bands in the 90’s and 2010’s) as well as later joining Moderate Chop with his nephew Joshua Strickland. Last but not least, we have Matthew Bradley on the Bass Guitar. Matt has been holding down the low end behind Joshua and other assorted acts for the last decade around the local area. He has become a staple of our local music scene.

As these four men joined forces earlier this year it has been a quick rise to the top. It’s a new name but the same great musicians we’ve come to know and love for years.


Pensacola Beach's FREE outdoor summer concert series features performers for every musical taste and is held each Tuesday night from 7-9 p.m.

Organized by the Santa Rosa Island Authority, this popular event is located at the beautiful Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, overlooking the Gulf.

Spectators are encouraged to bring their own lawn chairs and blankets.
