Sewing Machine Basics Workshop

How To Use That Tool - A new workshop series at the Guelph Tool Library!
Have you ever wanted to try out a sewing, but you feel intimidated by threading, stitching, and where to get started? Join one of our members alongside our Community Engagement Manager as they provide you with beginner friendly tips and the opportunity for hands on learning.
Participants in this class will learn how to safety set up and use a sewing machine, how to select the correct needle and thread for their desired projects, and what other items can help make the sewing process a breeze. This is not a project based class, but materials are provided for practice stitching. Class size is limited and pre registration is required. Participants must be at least 16 years of age. Stay tuned for a youth workshop this summer.
$5 for GTL members, $15 for non-members. The cost of these workshops is subsidized by our Community Benefits Agreement with the City of Guelph. If cost is a barrier for you, please reach out regarding a complimentary ticket.
