And this team is not just for those interested in Engineering either. We will provide opportunities in graphic arts, finance, business, journalism, community outreach, public relations, fundraising, marketing, art, team spirit, arts/crafts, web design, programming, mechanical engineering and electrical engineering. There is something for everyone on an FRC Robotics team.
The City of Groveland and All Wired Up would like to invite you to our annual Back 2 School - Back 2 Robotics event at the Puryear Building in Groveland on August 1st from 6-8pm. This event is to help launch a new year for our award-winning FIRST® Robotics Competition (FRC) team in South Lake County for all students in grades 6 -12. This team is based in Groveland and open to all students throughout South Lake County whether in a public school, a private school and for those who are home-schooled. We will have our mentors, students and robot present to speak with, to watch them demonstrate their robot and you will even have a chance to drive one yourself.
We'll also present info on our ongoing FIRST Lego League program for elementary students.
We cordially invite any interested students and parents. We’re also looking for anyone interested in mentoring students on mechanical or electrical work, programming, marketing, business planning and public relations; so if you think you’d be interested please stop by.
