Kaitlyn Ross with 11 Alive News Atlanta recently published a story about Melanie Weaver:
She’s as good as gold.
That’s how Melanie’s family describes her: kind, captivating, and deeply loved by everyone who knows her.
At just 48, this Griffin, Georgia mom and proud Nana went into the hospital for a quadruple bypass.
It was supposed to save her life.
But complications during surgery left her in critical condition, and she’s now on the highest level of life support at UF Health Shands in Gainesville.
Her heart is too damaged to recover on its own. Doctors are considering options like an LVAD or a possible transplant.
Her daughters say the hardest part is the helplessness… not being able to fix it, not knowing what’s next.
They just want more time with their mom.
Melanie is also deeply missed by her partner of 10 years, Chris, who has never left her side.
Her family is clinging to hope… for healing, for answers, and for the chance to simply be together again 💔
Unfortunately due to complications Melanie has left us all heartbroken.
Melanies life was towing, she lived, breathed and ate towing. Her whole world revolved around it.
Tow ops let’s give her the send off she deserves. Here are the details:
