~ Irish Music, Song and Dance ~
“Los Paddys” are an exciting Irish music and dance group with a diverse repertoire including classic Irish ballads, country music and traditional jigs and reels. The program is designed to show and celebrate many treasures of the rich Irish culture.
The band tours extensively every year with concerts and festivals performed in Germany, France, the Netherlands, Chile and Argentina.
PADDY
Paddy De Las Pampas (Paddy Mulcahy) is a Clare folk singer songwriter with multiple albums under his belt who tours Ireland and Europe on a regular basis. Paddy has a Master degree in Ethnomusicology from the Irish World Academy of Traditional Music and Dance and is the band leader and songwriter for the fusion group "Los Paddys".
Paddy is a multi-instrumentalist and his extensive knowledge of traditional Irish songs and his interactive performance ensures the show will be fully enjoyed by its spectators.
LENKA
Lenka Fairy is a spellbinding Irish dancer and performer who has competed in the World Irish dancing championships 5 times and won trophies in countless competitions around Ireland and Europe. For many years she was a lead dancer as well as a choreographer and an artistic director of her own Irish dance group Demairt and performed at many European festivals.
Lenka has a Master degree in Traditional Dance Performance from the Irish World Academy and regularly performs at different sessions, festivals and concerts.
During the show Lenka introduces Irish step dancing in both heavy and soft shoes as well as the “old style” Sean Nos dancing. Lenka also sings and plays different instruments to accompany tunes and songs during the show.
ANGELO
Angelo Heart is a percussionist living in North Clare who tours and performs with various groups. Angelo also writes, teaches and produces music. He has been awarded A Higher National Diploma (HND) in Music Production - DFEi Dublin, A CPD Diploma In Professional Musicianship - BIMM Dublin, A Certificate III in Music Performance (Jazz and Contemporary Drumming) - Melbourne Polytechnic, Australia, First prize for his group's performance at the 2017 Pan Celtic International Song Contest. Angelo has been performing in Clare for over seven years and is constantly adopting new musical ideas and performance techniques to make a show more entertaining.
ANDREA
Andrea Kafonkova is a dancer and a musician living in Co. Clare. She has been a regular festival dancer for the last couple of years performing at shows European wide including Czech Republic, Germany, Ireland and France.
Andrea possesses a superb rhythmic style on the Bodhran and during the show also sings some lovely songs.
