“Flood of 1955 - 70 Year Commemoration

The Greene-Dreher Historical Society and Greene Township Board of Supervisors invite the public to a special program in commemoration of the 70th year of the Flood of 1955. The program will include remembrances by victims of this tragedy and dedication of the new “Flood of 1955 - 70 Year Commemoration” sign and the “Village of Greentown 1900 - 1930” sign.

A GDHS publication, a second edition of “The Flood of 1955 Remembered - 70th Commemoration” containing photographs and stories that were not in the 2015 edition in addition to pre and post flood maps and 70 Year Commemoration sign, will be available for sale.
