📣 Indiana’s diploma is getting a major overhaul - and your business has a BIG role to play.
Beginning with the Class of 2029, Indiana’s new high school diploma will require students to complete work-based learning experiences - meaning students must gain real-world exposure to the workplace in order to graduate.
💡 At the state level, the Indiana Department of Education is moving away from the Core 40 Diploma and introducing pathways to further prepare students for college, career, or enlistment.
As part of this shift, work-based learning hours will now play a critical role in graduation - opening up major opportunities for local employers to get involved through internships, mentorships, job shadows, and more.
👥 Join us Thursday, August 21st (Time TBD) for “Workforce Partners: What Employers Need To Know” - a must-attend session for employers, HR professionals, and community leaders.
Hear from state leaders at the Indiana Department of Education, Indiana Chamber of Commerce, Ascend Indiana, Conexus Indiana, and the Richard M. Fairbanks Foundation as they break down:
🔹 The new diploma structure
🔹 How your business can get involved
🔹 Why this matters for your future workforce
🔹 Plus, a Q&A session providing clarity & breaking down the barriers surrounding the misconceptions of why your business can’t get involved
