About Laura:
Laura Bailey is a lifelong North Carolina native and proud Guilford County resident with a heart for history and community. A UNC-Greensboro alumna, she majored in Business Management & Marketing with a minor in Sociology, later earning her Master’s Degree in WWII Studies from Arizona State University. She and her family call Gibsonville home. Laura is especially honored to serve as President of the Greensboro History Museum, Inc., where she leads the non-profit’s Board of Trustees as they partner with the museum staff to collect, connect, and challenge — bringing people together through the power of shared stories. As the museum celebrates its 100th anniversary, they work to shine a spotlight on the rich history that unites us all.
Beyond the museum, she is President and Co-Owner of Bibey Machine & Fabrication Company, a Greensboro fixture since 1978 that expanded into Rockingham County in 2007. Laura also lends her expertise to Truist’s Community Advisory Board and serves as a board member for the Triad Honor Flight. A published author and passionate WWII historian, she believes in honoring the past to inspire the future.
