Finding Joy Through the Static: Mask & Labels Workshop

Our society labels us to make it easier to shortcut interaction and enhance prescribed reactions and responses. These labels encourage us to “mask” how we feel, and often, who we are so that we can “go along to get along.” In this interactive workshop, we’ll explore labels we’re born with, those we’re given, and those we assign to ourselves.

We’ll address how those labels relate to our need for a public face, and how that constantly changing masking can exhaust us, draining our social battery. Finally, we’ll share how authenticity and creativity can empower us to drop labels and the expectations that come with them, lightening our load, and creating more space for joy!

This event is free and open to all ages. No registration required.
