Join the Great Falls Public Library as we partner with the community to bring a variety of Alzheimer's and memory related opportunities to you. We are working with Independent Lens PBS, MSU Extension Services, the Alzheimer's Association of Montana, Montana DPHHS, the Weissman-Hood Institute, and the Highgate Senior Living - Great Falls to make this event happen.
4 PM - Tai Chi with Kyla Rock from Montana DPHHS
Tai Chi for Arthritis and Fall Prevention benefits almost all aspects of health. It is based on the Sun style, one of five major tai chi styles. The ultimate goal of tai chi is to achieve harmony and balance with nature. Movements are slow and gentle making it accessible for people of all abilities and can be done almost anywhere.

6:00 PM Documentary showing of Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer's
Matter of Mind: My Alzheimer’s is an intimate portrayal of three families confronting the unique challenges of Alzheimer’s and how this progressive neurodegenerative disease transforms roles and relationships. Whether it's a partner caring for a loved one or an adult child shifting into being their parent's caregiver, these stories show how families evolve when a loved one is diagnosed.
PBS Premiere date is May 5 at 8 PM. This is an Independent Lens pop-up film.
