Armchair Traveler - Slovenian Bee Keeping Tour

It's time to travel! Join us in the Cordingley Room at the Great Falls Public Library for another season of Armchair Traveler. On the first Thursday of every month, we will explore a different country, a different mode of travel, and event get tips and tricks to make your future trips successful. We will also have a snack that is reminiscent of every place we travel to.

Whitney Olson and Doug Little are lifetime Great Falls residents and novice beekeepers. They were inspired to visit Slovenia by local author, Amy Grisak. Amy wrote about beekeeping tours in Slovenia years ago and it became a bucket-list destination for Whitney and Doug.

Come see the difference between Slovenian and American hives up close (without the bees!). Learn about apitherapy as it's practiced in Slovenia. Travel the gorgeous countryside through photos and videos. We'll also taste Slovenian forest honey and flower honey and compare it to local Great Falls honey.
