Come and join us for a fascinating event exploring the lives of the renowned Artists of Great Bardfield with local historian Dr Janet Dyson. Discover how a group of artists settled in the village from the 1930s. Janet's book draws on the voices and memories of village residents in this rural community, to enrich our understanding of what it was like to live in that moment in time. Following the arrival of 2 young artists, the subsequent arrival of other creative people and their families living and working in the village, to the extraordinary outpouring of creativity seen during their Open House exhibitions of the 1950s.
Whether you're an art enthusiast or just curious to learn more, this in-person event is sure to be enlightening and engaging. See you there!
