In this first Solo Bootcamp, you'll learn the true Bachata basic step, which is much more than just three steps and a tap. It includes essential hip and shoulder movement that give Bachata its character and flow. You'll also dive into different variations of the basic step, like the basic on the spot, the derecho hip, the majao hip, and the sensual basic. These are important tools that may feel a bit tricky at first, but once you get them, everything else in your dancing will become much easier.
As we always say, you can tell a dancer’s level by the quality of their basic step.
The Solo Bootcamps are perfect for anyone looking to level up their solo Bachata skills, build body awareness, and feel more confident moving on their own. Each week focuses on a different topic, helping you explore new tools, refine your technique, and develop your own style. By improving your solo movement, you'll naturally enhance your coordination, musicality, and overall quality in partner dancing.
