SFLA OPEN AUDITIONS FOR "THE NUTCRACKER"

"The Nutcracker” with Artistic Directors Elizabeth Avantaggio and Kate Smedal, Studio for the Living Arts Dance Complex

Each season, Studio for the Living Arts performs a full-length production of the Christmas classic, “The Nutcracker Ballet”.

PERFORMANCE DATES:
The cast will bring the magical tale of the Nutcracker to life with two performances:
Evening Performance: Friday, December 13th, 6:30pm
Matinee Performance: Saturday, December 14th, 1:00pm
Each performance is approximately 1.5 hrs. in length with one intermission. Dancers will appear in both performances, and some dancers will be doublecast.

* No Audition Fee
* No Costume Fees: All costumes are owned by SFLA, and they are loaned to the cast members.

AUDITION DATE/LOCATION/SCHEDULE:
FRIDAY 9/19/25
Please attend your current age group:
5:45-6:15pm - Ages 7-9
6:15-6:45pm - Ages 10-13
6:45-7:30pm - Ages 14+

*Ballet Level 1, classes are not required to audition or submit an audition form, as they will automatically be cast in a role, and the Nutcracker choreography will be taught during a small segment in their weekly ballet class.

NUTCRACKER TICKET SALES
Nutcracker Tickets are on sale at the dance studio beginning Saturday, October 25, 2025 (9am-12pm). After Opening Ticket Day, on 10/25, tickets may be purchased at the studio during office hours Monday-Saturday or over the phone (207) 657-3006. Advance Ticket cost is $20, and $25 at the door. All seating is reserved, so the earlier you purchase, the better seating options you will have.
