Art Workshop: Painting with Wool - Wet Felted Sunset (Adult - All Skill Levels)

Do you love color and the texture of fiber art? Join me in this "painting" with wool workshop that is perfect for beginners or anyone wanting to hone their wet felting skills. We will focus on creating a realistic sky at sunrise or sunset through the layering and blending of dyed wool with a simple foreground silhouette. You will gain the technical skills necessary to create a felted wall hanging from roving while you experience how the fibers change, shrink, and co-create with you throughout the process. I'll also be sharing some of the tips and tricks I've developed over the years as a felt maker.

Materials Provided by Instructor: All the wool and most supplies needed will be supplied.

Material List for Student: Please bring an old bath towel and hand towel, a Small bucket or other receptacle for holding water, a small bottle of dish soap or bar soap. Some feltmakers like olive oil soap, but any will do. Optional supplies will be listed in Art Center Documents, but are not necessary.
