Community Builders Summer Day Camp
August 11 to 15, 2025
- $220.00 per participant.
- 5 Day camp, 9:00 am - 4:30 pm, Monday to Friday.
- Early drop off and/or Late Pick up options available for additional fees.
- Two sessions of this camp are available. Please choose one.
- Campers will engage in fun activities, learning, creative play and active play.
- Campers will learn about safety and community engagement.
- Guest presenters will engage children in learning.
Day 1: Welcome & Safety City – Building Community
- Camp rules and expectations
- How to safely navigate a mini city (Safety City!)
- Social skills and teamwork through games and activities
Day 2: Animal Safety & Mindfulness – Staying Calm & Caring
- How to safely interact with animals (with partners naturally)
- Mindfulness techniques to manage emotions
- The importance of empathy and cultural awareness (with the Friendship Centre)
Day 3: Street Smarts & Stranger Awareness – Navigating the World Safely
- How to cross streets safely and recognize traffic signs (with Peace Officers)
- What to do if approached by a stranger (With RCMP)
- How sustainability and safety go hand-in-hand (with AquaTerra)
BONUS: Kids will get to ride the pedal cars in Safety City to practice real-life traffic safety in a fun, hands-on way!
Day 4: Emergency Ready – Fire, EMS & Brain Safety
- Fire safety and emergency response (with County Fire)
- What to expect in a medical emergency (with EMS)
- Why helmets matter and how to protect our brains (with Blue Heron)
Day 5: Future Ready – Careers & Splash Bash!
- Exploring future careers and education paths (with NWP)
- How to stay safe if you become lost (with TSR)
- Water Fun Afternoon: We’ll end the week with a celebration full of water games, splash activities, and outdoor fun, perfect for cooling off and enjoying summer safely!
Please note: Due to first responder availability some schedule changes may occur.
Early Drop Off and Late pick up are available for additional fees. Earliest drop off is 8am. Latest pick up is 5:30 pm. Early drop off fee: $25 for the week per participant. Late Pick up fee: $25 for the week per participant.
