ALTERED: an intro to altered states

ALTERED is a somatic portal for seekers, sensitives, and feelers who crave depth of meaning. This 90-minute experience weaves breathwork, trance journeying, and poetic integration into a ceremony of return—back to your body, back to your truth, back to altered wisdom that lives within.


You’ll be guided through gentle somatic movement, bilateral stimulation strategies rooted in EMDR modality, and a live drumming trance journey. Optional non-psychoactive plant allies like rose or blue lotus may be offered to deepen presence.

Curious why it works? Altered states—whether through breath, rhythm, or ritual—can quiet the default mode network (DMN) in the brain, the part responsible for ego and overthinking. This creates openings for insight, emotional processing, and self-healing that are hard to access in ordinary consciousness. This can help us process stuck emotions, memories, and sensation held in our body.
