Soil Day at the Champlain Islands Farmers Market - Free Soil Testing
Come out to the Champlain Islands Farmers Market Saturday July 12 from 10am-2pm for Soil Day at St. Joseph's Church in Grand Isle!

NRCS will be providing free on-site screenings with a portable X-ray fluorescence (PXRF) analyzer to detect lead in soils.

Bring 2 cups of your soil in a sealed, plastic bag (follow the directions in the graphic) and NRCS will perform analysis and give you the results on the spot and advice on how to remediate soil if needed!

Enjoy a huge array of offerings from 32 amazing local vendors with the best of farm fresh products, tasty foods, and artisan goods! See you there!
