80th Anniversary of the Bombing of Hiroshima: A Requiem Mass for Peace

On Wednesday, August 6, the church celebrates the Feast of the Transfiguration, but our world knows the date as the 80th Anniversary of the Nuclear Bombing of Hiroshima. At SJE, we will observe this unsettling confluence with a Requiem Mass for Peace at 6pm during which we will pray for those who died in that nuclear attack along with the ongoing victims of war in our own time.
