Let's start Kindergarten (and Pre-K) off with popsicles on the playground!
WHY IS THIS EVENT AWESOME?
Your student might be feeling a lot of different emotions about starting Kindergarten, being in a new place, meeting new friends, or starting a new routine. This is a great low pressure opportunity for them to see kids like them relaxing, playing, eating popsicles, and acclimating to "their playground" that they'll see on the regular, all with their parent/guardian nearby. This helps build positive associations with their friends and learning environment.
You might also be eager to meet other parent/guardians, get more familiar with where your Eagle will be spending their time, and see them forming new relationships.
WHAT IF IT RAINS?
No worries! We'll have popsicles in the cafeteria and play in the school gymnasium.
Special notes:
This is not a drop off event. A parent/guardian must stay with their student(s).
The building will be open for bathroom access.
This event is geared towards our Kindergartners but you can bring your student's siblings.
You might choose to bring a picnic blanket or lawn chairs while your student plays.
This is not a meet the teacher event but our Kindergarten and Admin team normally join if they can.
