‘Ar Lorg Luimneach Laighean (Looking for Limerick of Leinster)’
Moderated by Michael Doyle of South-East Radio.
Join us for tea and talks to see what we have discovered to date about the lost village of Limerick (Limbrick), which was previously located on the outskirts of Kilanerin. This ongoing project – funded by the Heritage Council – aims to uncover the rich, layered history of Limerick, from early Christian times to the present.
What You Can Expect:
- Cutting-Edge Imagery: see how advanced technology is revealing previously hidden features of the landscape.
- Updates from our professional archaeologists on their interpretation so far of Limerick and its history.
- Digital Artifacts: see how we're preserving Limerick's heritage through the creation of digital 3-D models from the site.
- Stories: learn about the famous historical names that have been associated with Limerick.
Come for the updates, stay for the stories.
Whether you're a local with deep roots in the area, or simply someone passionate about uncovering the past, your participation will help shape our understanding of Limerick's history.
