Let’s talk about flood protection — what we currently have in place, and what we might need in the future.
Drop in anytime between 3 and 6pm to chat with ORC staff about the Lower Clutha and Tokomairiro flood protection and drainage schemes. Learn how this vital infrastructure helps reduce flood risk and supports land drainage across the Clutha Delta — including such areas as Balclutha, Kaitangata and Stirling — and Milton.
We'll be sharing updates on:
• Flood repairs and recent damage
• Ongoing scheme and river management work
• Planning for future natural hazard risks
• How you can be part of the conversation through upcoming community liaison groups
There’ll be information about key topics, and you can chat with ORC’s Engineering and Natural Hazards staff, ask questions, and share your thoughts about what matters most to you.
It’s a relaxed, informal space — come by anytime during the session and get involved in shaping how we respond to natural hazard risks across the Lower Clutha and Milton.
Whether you're a resident, landowner, or just care about the future of your community — we’d love to see you there.
