Influenced by punk rock, grunge, and the revelations of Hank Williams, John Prine, and Woody Guthrie, Chicago Farmer's music paints vivid pictures of rural landscapes & the people he sings about, akin to a John Steinbeck short story transformed into song. His music is a reflection of the values instilled by his farmer grandparents.
