About the event

Way Back Wednesday; Two Black Men Fighting for Texas Independence at Goliad."

Every Wednesday in June and July we present a different topic based on historical accounts of the Presidio.

Join us on June 18th for a program focused on Peter Allen and Samuel McCulloch Jr, two black men who fought for Texas Independence at Presidio La Bahia in 1835 and 1836. Hear about their lives and journeys, and their ties to this place.

This event is free with paid admission to the museum, and all ages are welcomed!
