Mama Told Ya Showcase is landing in Athens!

Founded in 2019 by Anetha, Mama told ya has quickly become a hub for experimentation and artistic expression. With a strong focus on collaboration, the label connects emerging talents with seasoned artists, creating a vibrant exchange of music and visual art. Highlighting three releases, Anetha’s iconic opus “Mothearth” , Mac Declos’s electrifying LP “Hard Work Always Pays Off”, and Vel’s sensational new LP “There Is Always a Solution”, Mama told ya is bringing those artists to the Athenian showcase with VLCT:

Through Mama told ya, Anetha continues to push boundaries, offering a platform where unique talents can shine at every stage of their journey. Transmitting the glossy textures of techno, trance and experimental music, Anetha whips up bouncy basslines, stomping kickdrums, glorious melodies and a sprinkling of melancholic motifs, gracing clubs and festivals worldwide.
2024 marks the release of Anetha’s album on Mama told ya, welding a palette of post-club, techno, nu-wave, rave, and DnB and exploring themes of sustainability, femininity, toxic masculinity and unwarranted opinions in the music industry. 2024 is also the year Anetha took the stage at the Closing Ceremony of the Paris Paralympics, a bold statement for techno.
With a brilliant sound that defies expectations, Mac Declos quickly became known for his intense, precise, and technical techno sets: he’s a natural. His ability to blend mental and physical grooves with such finesse sets him apart as a virtuoso, a master of his craft.
Vel’s sound pulses with life, driven by the primal force of percussion and infused with a distinctly womanly energy. During her sets, Vel fearlessly explores diverse genres, from Trance
to Ambient, breaking BPM constraints and creating a dynamic interplay between the raw and the refined—an alchemist of sound and rhythm.

Με έντονη εστίαση στη συνεργασία, το label συνδέει αναδυόμενα ταλέντα με έμπειρους καλλιτέχνες, δημιουργώντας μια ζωντανή ανταλλαγή μουσικής και εικαστικών τεχνών. Αναδεικνύοντας τρεις κυκλοφορίες, το εμβληματικό έργο της Anetha “Mothearth” , το ξεσηκωτικό LP “Hard Work Always Pays Off” του Mac Declos και το εντυπωσιακό νέο LP της Vel “There Is Always a Solution” , το Mama Told Ya, φέρνει αυτούς τους καλλιτέχνες στην αθηναϊκή σκηνή με το VLCT:

Μέσω του Mama told Ya, η Anetha συνεχίζει να ξεπερνά τα όρια, προσφέροντας μια πλατφόρμα όπου μοναδικά ταλέντα μπορούν να λάμψουν σε κάθε στάδιο του ταξιδιού τους. Μεταδίδοντας διαφορετικές υφές της techno, της trance και της πειραματικής μουσικής, η Anetha έχει καταφέρει να παίξει σεκοσμικά κλαμπ και φεστιβάλ σε όλο τον κόσμο.
Το 2024 σηματοδοτεί την κυκλοφορία του άλμπουμ της “Motherearth” στο Mama told ya, συνδυάζοντας μια παλέτα από post-club, techno, nu-wave, rave και DnB και εξερευνώντας θέματα βιωσιμότητας, θηλυκότητας, τοξικής αρρενωπότητας και αδικαιολόγητων απόψεων στη μουσική βιομηχανία. Το 2024 είναι επίσης η χρονιά που η Anetha ανέβηκε στη σκηνή στην Τελετή Λήξης των Παραολυμπιακών Αγώνων του Παρισιού, με μια τολμηρή δήλωση για την techno.
Με έναν λαμπρό ήχο που αψηφά τις προσδοκίες, ο Mac Declos έγινε γρήγορα γνωστός για τα έντονα και τεχνικά ακριβή techno sets του. Η ικανότητά του να συνδυάζει πνευματικά και σωματικά grooves με τέτοια φινέτσα τον ξεχωρίζει ως βιρτουόζο, μάστορα της τέχνης του.
Ο ήχος της Vel, σφύζει από ζωή, οδηγούμενος από την πρωταρχική δύναμη των κρουστών και εμποτισμένος με μια ξεκάθαρα γυναικεία ενέργεια. Κατά τη διάρκεια των set της, η Vel εξερευνά άφοβα διάφορα είδη, από trance σε Ambient, σπάζοντας τους περιορισμούς BPM και δημιουργώντας μια δυναμική αλληλεπίδραση μεταξύ του ακατέργαστου και του εκλεπτυσμένου — μία αλχημιστής του ήχου και του ρυθμού.
