Myself and Bethany will be collaborating for an incredibly unique event at St James’ Church, Crowden. The first church at this site was built in the 1400s. This version was built in the 1700s and has been lovingly restored with what is thought to be several original features. There are stunning views of the reservoir, and it is said you can see Mottram Church on a clear day.
Jen will host a gentle Hatha practise, followed by Bethany hosting a sound healing bath. Hot and cold drinks and light snacks will be provided.
Events at the Church provide donations to the trust which enable the ongoing renovations to take place as well as maintaining the Grade II listed building and grounds.
We will meet at Crowden car park SK131HZ and walk 10 minutes through the woodland to the location.
Please note, there are several steps to the front door of the church.
We ask that you bring a yoga mat or ask to borrow one. Comfortable clothing is recommend. The chapel does contain electric heaters, but we suggest bringing a blanket for the sound healing and any pillows if you would like. Eye masks will be provided.
As a precaution, it is not recommended that you take part in a sound healing session in the following circumstances:
If you are within the first three months of pregnancy.
If you have epilepsy or experience seizures of any kind
If you have any unmanaged mental health issues such as PTSD, personality disorder or schizophrenia.
If you are fitted with a pacemaker or have a heart condition.
If you are intoxicated or under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs.
Bookings are non-refundable.
