Mangus & Co are a boisterous Nipaluna/Hobart-based blues ensemble, led by the growling vocals and fingerpicking guitar of Mangus (Mark Schmalfuss) and joined by Emily Wolfe (violin), Aaron Entresz (guitar), Jed Adams (bass) and Chris McGuinness-Terry (drumkit).
For Moonah Music, they will share a striking setlist of ragtime originals, compiled from Mangus & Co’s extensive catalogue, influenced by pre-war jazz, fingerstyle blues guitar and the spectrum of classic Americana.
Since launching in 2006, Mangus & Co have captivated audiences across Lutruwita/Tasmania, performing at Cygnet Folk Festival, DARK MOFO, Junction Arts Festival, Festival of Voices and more. The release of various albums throughout their career has garnered a following of national and international fans, with their latest album I Don’t Think I’m Here debuting at number 18 on the Australian Independent Record charts.

Miss Jones is an autistic, queer singer/songwriter based in Nipaluna/Hobart, Lutruwita/Tasmania.
Music is the balm for her soul and blues is what makes her heart sing. It’s also what she does best.
With decades of performing experience, Miss Jones has toured her big voice, jazzy-blues guitar sound and emotive catalogue around Lutruwita/Tasmania, having supported Mia Dyson, Ash Grunwald and Alex Lloyd, and performed at DARK MOFO, Clarence Jazz Festival, Adventure Bay Blues and Roots to name a few.
