Bach & Beanbags - The Art of Fugue at Moonah Arts Centre

Hobart’s Xyris Saxophone Quartet will present a complete performance of Johann Sebastian Bach’s ‘The Art of Fugue’ at the Moonah Arts Centre.

The Art of Fugue is Johann Sebastian Bach’s final and most intricate exploration of counterpoint. Left unfinished at his death, this monumental work weaves a single theme through a series of fugues and canons, showcasing the depth and discipline of Bach’s compositional mastery.
Audience members are invited to bring a beanbag, cushion, or yoga mat to enjoy a relaxed listening experience. Chairs will also be available.
