Robert Lighthouse Live at Back Room Blues (2025-6-19)

Robert Lighthouse plays live for our blues dance at 9pm!

Robert Lighthouse came to the US from Sweden at the age of 18, determined to learn more about the Mississippi Delta Blues. For eight years he traveled the country visiting blues Meccas like Chicago's famed Maxwell Street and New Orleans, the cradle of the blues. He settled in DC in 1988 and is known for his simultaneous guitar and harmonica work. He "plays delta blues like the great masters."

All-levels, beginner-friendly lesson in blues dance foundations starts at 8:15. No partner or prior experience is required! $15 covers the blues foundations lesson and the dance with live music.

If you can, wear shoes that can slide. Please avoid wearing strong fragrances. Most people come to dance with everyone there (but if you'd prefer to stick with one person that's okay too).
