Celebrate the mid-summer weekend by entering our trail run around Glastonbury Abbey’s stunning 36-acre grounds.
The Route
Like the history of the abbey itself, the route is full of drama. Loops that cover perfectly manicured lawn, gnarly uneven ground and lose gravel paths are all primed for overtaking, giving way to short, sharp sections where you can choose one of two routes, then dipping into single track sections where passing is forbidden, through the woods, across bridges and down the side of the ruins.
The Options
Please read through the options below thoroughly before choosing your ticket:
Option 1 – You have 90 minutes to run this 10k.
Option 2 – You have 90 minutes to run this 5k.
Option 3 – You must be able to complete in under 48 minutes (Men)/50 minutes (Women) to run this 10k.
Option 4 – You have 35 minutes (Men)/ 40 minutes (Women) to run this 5k.
Option 5 – You have 1 hour to run/walk this 1 mile.
For the fun runners or those who want to challenge their own personal bests over the distance of 10k and 5k, options 1 & 2 are for you.
If you’re a wheelchair athlete, you can take part in the 5k Fun Run (option 2) or the 1 hour fun run (option 5).
For the faster ones amongst you, try options 3 & 4. Option 3 will also include 2 sprint sections where you will need to decide your strategy – will you go for the crown and become King or Queen of these 100 and 200 metre sprints?
And that’s not all – run 1-mile for the final run of the day (option 5)!
