The Joshua Hotel provide a unique brand of soulful electronic pop that invites you to escape through an alluring sense of sonic nostalgia. More inspired by cult-films and postmodern literature than any contemporary musical artist; frontman Joshua Mackenzie's sharp witted song craft and stylistic production approach is every bit as intimate as it is upbeat and cinematic. Originally Joshua's solo lockdown project, The Joshua Hotel has since morphed into a band consisting of drummer Joshua Gilbert and guitarist Louis Slorach. Singles such as 'Somebody New' and ‘Oblivion Days’ have raised the bands profile considerably in recent years, having been championed by Steve Lamacq on BBC 6 Music, Gary Crowley on BBC London, John Kennedy on Radio X, Frank Skinner on Absolute Radio and 6 Music’s New Music Fix Show. BBC Scotland’s Vic Galloway picked The Joshua Hotel as one of his 25 artists to watch in 2024.

The band has now completed work on their debut album ‘Rapture Party’, due for release Friday the 26th of September 2025 on Last Night From Glasgow.
