Friends of Newlands Park (FoNP) aims to create an inclusive, long-term strategy for enhancing the park, reflecting the changing needs of the local community. It seeks insights into how the park is currently used and how it can be improved for the future.
We want people who use the park to have a say in its future, and this public discussion is an opportunity for you to tell us what you think. The outputs from this meeting and from our on-line survey will be used to develop a strategic plan to further enhance the park.
Pop in any time between 5.30 and 7pm and share your views. No need to stay the whole time, even if you just have a few minutes to spare we would be delighted to talk to you.

FoNP achievements to date include:
- Refurbishment tennis courts with funding from Lawn Tennis Association
- Accessible access to the pond
- Re-establishment of the Newlands Summer Fête
- Weekly volunteer gardening sessions
We have also applied for funding for a pétanque piste and have set up a working group to look at enhancing play facilities.
For those who wish to become involved in Friends of Newlands Park, we will be holding our AGM on Wednesday 17th September, at 7.30. We are looking for new committee members and also volunteers to take some of our ideas forward.
