The Fèis Phàislig Ceilidh Trail brings together 4 talented up-and-coming musicians to experience life as a touring musician for 2 weeks in summer. The group perform a mix of traditional and contemporary Scottish and Gaelic music with toe-tapping jigs and reels as well as intricate, contemporary arrangements.
The Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail is a paid summer job and professional development opportunity for outstanding young traditional musicians aged 16 to 25. Taking place in July and August, The Ceilidh Trail provides visitors to Scotland, and locals alike, with the opportunity to experience authentic traditional Scottish music in a wide range of settings.
Fèis Rois established its successful Ceilidh Trail programme in Ross-Shire in 2000. This project has since gone from strength to strength and now provides opportunities for young musicians from across Scotland to perform in locations across the country and further afield.
Many previous participants of the Fèis Rois Ceilidh Trail have gone onto carve out very successful careers in the Scottish music industry. These include Mairearad Green, Rachel Newton, Kim Carnie, Iona Fyfe, Calum McIlroy, Ali Levack and Conal McDonagh to name but a few.
