Ready to learn a new language in a fun, relaxed, and hands-on way? Join inspiring BSL teacher Lorna McIntyre for an engaging and interactive session that will open your eyes, and hands, to the world of British Sign Language!
With the support of her BSL interpreter and a visual PowerPoint to guide the journey, Lorna will kick things off with a powerful introduction to Deaf awareness. inviting questions, sparking discussion, and challenging assumptions in a warm and welcoming environment.
You’ll learn the BSL fingerspelling alphabet, follow along with Lorna's live demonstrations, and practice as you go. Feeling confident? Lorna loves inviting volunteers to fingerspell their name in front of the group!
You'll also get to grips with basic BSL greetings and phrases, all delivered in a session that’s as entertaining as it is educational. Whether you're a complete beginner or just curious to explore BSL, this is your chance to learn from one of the best.
