Community Meeting w/ Council Member Nathan Willett

Hello neighbors!

We’re holding a community meeting with city council members to talk about the impact of the new “The Collection at Staley Hills” development (at the corner of Shoal Creek and Maplewoods pkwy) and what it means for our neighborhood.

After speaking with city staff, I’ve come to understand that our options seem to be a potential 1,000-unit apartment complex vs this 177-unit cottage homes. We will briefly review the reasons behind this, but the focus of this meeting will be on what is to come next and how we can push for the infrastructure improvements our neighborhood needs, like road expansions and other updates, to help enhance our community.

Council Member Nathan Willett will join us to address traffic congestion in the area, including potential lane expansions to help improve traffic flow.

We’ll also discuss opportunities to expand Anne Garney Park and how that can benefit our community with the Parks Department.
