The Grand Egyptian Museum Opening

The Grand Egyptian Museum will officially open on July 3, 2025, after delays since 2023, with celebrations lasting several days to allow more visitors to experience the event. Located near the Giza Pyramids, the museum spans 117 acres and features 100,000 artifacts, many displayed for the first time, along with glass façades offering stunning pyramid views. The opening will include the unveiling of the Golden Hall, showcasing the treasures of King Tutankhamun, and will be attended by world leaders, emphasizing its global significance. With a total cost of $550 million, funded partly by a $300 million Japanese loan, the project involved leading firms like Heneghan Peng Architects for design, Atelier Brückner for display arrangements, and Orascom and Besix for construction.
