Let’s say you make a mug. It’s cool. It took forever.
Now what if you could make ten of that same mug—with way less stress?
That’s the magic of slip casting.
In this two-day workshop, you’ll learn how to use liquid clay (aka slip) and a plaster mold to make clean, hollow ceramic forms that are super repeatable—but still totally customizable. Think: sculpture, small-batch product ideas, funky vessels you want to tweak and rework.
You’ll go from pouring to popping your first piece out of the mold—and yeah, it’s as satisfying as it sounds. You’ll also make your own plaster mold from scratch (don’t worry, we’ll walk you through it), so you can keep casting after the class ends.
This one’s for you if: – You want to make more than one of a thing (without making your wrist hate you)
– You’re curious about designing your own forms
– You want structure, but still want creative control
You’ll leave with the skills to do this on your own—and a few fresh pieces that say, “I made this. On purpose.”
