Gettysburg Choral Society Fall Auditions

Audition for the Chorus!

Auditions will be held in the summer of 2025.

We are currently seeking all voice parts especially tenors and basses! Our talented volunteer singers are the core of the chorus.

Auditions will be held by appointment:

Monday June 9th 6-8pm

Saturday July 19th 2-4pm

Saturday Aug 2nd 2-4pm

The chorus seeks to utilize the finest choral techniques in an effort to continually improve the quality of performances. As such persons who read music and have choral experience are encouraged to audition. Vocal accuracy tone quality blending ability and vocal range will be tested during the audition and are the most important qualities. Good sight reading is a definite plus. All persons auditioning must be at least 18 years of age.

Attendance at the dress rehearsal (December 4th) and both concerts is required. For the fall semester we are currently scheduled to have concerts on December 5th and 6th.

Only two rehearsal absences per semester are permitted but not encouraged. Fall rehearsals begin on September 8th.

Please tell us about your prior choral singing experience your voice part and vocal abilities with your initial contact.

🚨Professional Singers Needed:

GCS is seeking extremely talented and trained professional singers (degrees in voice) to serve as paid singers especially tenors and basses. The positions require singers to be prompt in attendance and fully prepared at all rehearsals and concerts. There will be a stipend paid to the singer upon the successful completion of the semester’s work. Additional information may be obtained by calling or emailing us. Please provide your resume.
