Let's do our annual trek to Georgetown and Cabin Creek Brewpub, with a later start.
Carpool: Meet at the Wooly Mammoth park-n-ride lot, towards the lower end of the lot, by the letter M. Look for me in a red CR-V, with license plate RUNUPHL. We'll leave from there at 7:00am sharp. It's a 35-40 minute drive from there to the start.
We're supposed to be environmental stewards, so please carpool.
Run start: By the lake, across from Cabin Creek Brewing, 577 Twenty-Second St, Georgetown, CO 80444. We'll start the run ~7:50am.
There are two routes to choose from. Both routes start the same way.
The standard route is out-n-back on the Silver Creek trail. It's a short, steep, climb, up to the trail. Go left from there. Silver Creek is moderately rolling and technical, along an old stagecoach road. It's out-n-back, with no junctions for almost 5mi. There are caves to explore along the way. Go out as far as you want, then return the same way. You can add a loop (or two) around the lake at the end.

For those who want more steep, head up Saxon Mountain Road. Go right after climbing to the start of Silver Creek, then left at the next junction. It's a 4wd road at ~8% grade. I plan to go up ~1:30, then back the same way.

After, we'll eat at the brewery. It doesn't open until 11:00, so time your run accordingly, or be prepared to hang out a bit after the run. Consider wading into the lake to cool off.
