Georgetown to Charleston

It’s back!! Georgetown to Charleston ride a favorite for most. This event is a VERY VERY long day. We will be leaving the ramp at 9am sharp. This is an all day ride and we do not expect to be back at the ramp until 7-8pm. We will tour the intracoastal heading through Winyah Bay which can be rough but will be a short trek through it. We will explore the beautiful scenery and lighthouses along the way. The ride will take us through several cool towns as we make our way into Charleston. You can expect to see Dolphins and several other wildlife on this ride. We will be stopping at Shem Creek for lunch as of now but the location may change based on ski count the day of. We can head into the Harbor after lunch or head over to Fort Sumter. The harbor can also be very rough so be prepared. We will then head back to Georgetown late afternoon to conclude the ride!

It is strongly recommended that if you don’t have a rack or a way to carry extra fuel you consider a different one of our rides. There are fuel stops along the way it wait times can be long and the stretches in between are pretty long,you can make it on one tank but we like to be cautious. Bring water,snacks,and sunscreen just as a few recommendations as we will be on the water ALL day. We will cruise at around 45mph to conserve fuel and also to make sure we can make it there and back timely. Please remember we cannot wait for anyone on this ride to leave if you show up at 9:15 to the ramp we will be gone.
