Join us this weekend for two special workshops at the Hin Bus Depot Exhibition Space, in conjunction with our recently opened exhibition, 7 Ways of Seeing, presented in collaboration with CULT Gallery. Led by two of the two participating artists, these workshops offer a hands-on experience to engage with traditional crafts, reimagined through contemporary practices.

Rattan weaving is a time-honoured practice rooted in tradition and craftsmanship. Through the repetitive motion of interlacing natural strands, it provides a quiet, meditative rhythm that connects maker to material. In this session, Sabah-based artist Ayue Juman will guide participants in crafting their own rattan coaster, while offering cultural context and her contemporary take on this technique.
