Hello everyone,
Glad to announce that the outdoors events time of the year has begun and truly there's no better way to start than with 'Caves Ouvertes'!
What is Caves Ouvertes you ask? In a few words, it's the biggest outdoors wine tasting in Geneva that happens only once a year so definitely is something not to miss.
For only 20 CHF, more than 70 different wineries will open their doors so you can try everything that they produce. Meaning that between 10AM-5PM you'll have an all you can drink of wine, besides that, there are food stands everywhere and sometimes even live music!
Here you have a WhatsApp group chat dedicated to share live locations, tips, etc and our more detailed itinerary!

**** Itinerary **** ---------------------------------------------------
10/10:10 - Meet at Gare Cornavin (in front of Migros), we take the train RL5 that goes to La Plaine at 10:18, leaving from Platform 5. We descend at Satigny gare.
10:40-11:30 - We reach the first Cave, called 'Domaine De La Devinière', where we'll get the magic glass that will allow us to drink the whole day and of course the first few cups of the day.
11:30-12:40 - We start making our way to Les Gondettes, which we should reach after walking 12 mins.
12:40-1:30 - We keep going up and after 7 minutes, we reach Famille Daniel Dugerdil and Domaine des Abeilles d'Or, for another hour of tasting.
1:30-3:30 - Next we walk for 15 mins (downhill) and we reach a cluster with 5 different wineries very close from each other! Domaine des Charmes/ Domaine des Trois Etoiles / Cave et domaine les Perrières /Cave les Crêtets /Domaine des Bossons.
3:30-5:00(end) - From Domaine des Bossons, we keep going downhill for 12 mins until we reach Les Vallières and Domaine du Paradis, the last one being one of the biggest wineries in the area, they also count with foodtrucks and live DJs, making it a great spot to end the day.
Once the wine tasting is done you can stay and keep drinking if you decide to buy any extra bottles, or even picnic if you're hungry. Buses/trains back to Geneva are in a station nearby and pass fairly often, just follow the crowd and you'll see where to go!

Looking forward for this Saturday! And feel free to tell your friends, the more the merrier.
