Polish Nature Mindfully: The Beavers of Motława
Castor fiber – euroasian beaver, the biggest rodent in Poland. If you would like to learn more about these fascinating animals, you are welcome to join this nature walk in Olszynka, along a wilder part of Motława river. During this event, we will have a short walk and longer observation time. There are big chances we will hear the beavers working in the nearby reeds, munching on the trees, shaking the branches and splashing in the water. If we are patient, quiet nad lucky enough, we might even see them emerging from the water!
During this walk you will also learn:
- how beaver's body has adjusted to living in the water
- what is beavers' tail like and why
- what peculiar habits beavers have
- how beavers build their dames
- what are beavers homes like

About me: My name is Dorota Boroszko and I am nature lover, nature photographer, traveller, hiking guide and English and Spanish teacher. I’ve been spending most of my free time in nature since I was a child, observing it, learning about and growing in it. It runs in my family, too. Not only is the forest a place for a deep relaxation for me, it is also a place where I am able to reencounter with my real self, my essence and integrity (after a long day with preschoolers). I have been dedicated to my facebook photogarphy page: Wild&Free – Dorota Boroszko Nature Photography for a couple of years.
