Please join us on Saturday, August 16th from 8 am to 10 am at the Arroyo Hondo Preserve for a special birding walk that begins one hour before the preserve opens for Family Fest!
The walk will be led by Kyle Kusa, expert birder and the Land Trust's Land Stewardship Coordinator. We'll learn about the wide diversity of birds who call Arroyo Hondo their home. Beginners welcome - no previous birding experience needed. This slow-paced walk through the preserve is on well-shaded and even terrain with minimal elevation gain. Creek crossings require good balance and sturdy shoes. Wear layers and be prepared for cool, wet, breezy, and warm conditions. Bathrooms and water are available onsite. No dogs are allowed. Please bring binoculars if you have them, we have a limited number to lend.
