Stories of the Chase Street Water Pipe

Join Brown Faces Green Spaces and partners for an afternoon of nostalgic narratives at the Chase Street Well on Saturday, May 17th to share your memories of the Chase Street "water pipe" and explore this cherished green space to learn about its past preservation, and the current restoration initiatives taking place.

Then join project leads from The Wetlands Initiative for a nature walk along the trail at Spring Park to explore the surrounding wetland ecosystem while sharing your vision to help shape the future of this historic habitat in the Gary community.

This event is free and open to all. Complimentary hot dogs & refreshments served. Please bring a chair and a reusable water bottle or jug. ♻️🌳💚🌍
