Classic Trains in the Land of Lincoln: Dick Neumiller's Central Illinois Photography

T. Bondurant “Bon” French has been fascinated by trains since he was four years old. An avid railroad photographer, he worked as a brakeman in the Chicago switchyards during college and currently chairs the board of the Madison, Wisconsin-based, Center for Railroad Photography & Art. French graduated with a BA from Northwestern University and an MBA from Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management. He is Chair of the Board of Directors of Adams Street Partners, a Chicago-based private equity firm with over $62 billion under management.

The presentation will include numerous CB&Q images, including ones taken in Galesburg. Bon is an accomplished photographer in his own right and was a close friend of Dick Neumiller, the former mayor of Peoria. Neumiller shared Bon’s love of rail photography, and Bon inherited Neumiller’s collection after he died.
