Enjoy lunch on your own and take time to browse through cozy boutiques and artisan shops that line the street. Afterward, climb aboard a trolley tour to learn about Galena’s rich riverboat and mining history while admiring 19th-century homes and landmarks. For history buffs, an optional visit to the Ulysses S. Grant Home state historic site is available for an extra $5 suggested donation.
