CALL TO ARTISTS!
Participate in our collaborative 'Exquisite Corpse' art-a-thon where artists each create a section of a larger artwork in just 24 hours at GFAA Gallery!
Final creations to be revealed during Gainesville's Artwalk on Halloween night!
Exquisite Corpse is a collaborative art game (developed by Surrealist artists in the 1920s) where each artist adds to a hidden section of a piece—resulting in a final artwork full of surprise, mystery, and delightful chaos.
Each artist will work in the gallery, with 24 hours to complete their section (not a shut-in: you can come and go as you please!) Their work will be covered up with a sheet - with just a small strip of the work visible for the next artist to work from.
This is a fundraiser for the Gainesville Fine Arts Association, a nonprofit 501(c)3 dedicated to supporting visual arts through exhibitions, workshops and programming for emerging and accomplished artists with a focus on diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
Participating Artists get:
- 30% of all donations to their personal sponsor page for the event
- Promotion on our social media, website, newsletters and fundraising page with your bio, images of artwork, and links
- Submission fee waived for one of our gallery exhibitions
