"Kuboo" Basket Weaving Workshop

Join us for a hands-on "Kuboo" basket weaving workshop using wildcrafted kudzu vine and traditionally prepared bamboo.

Aaron McCarty of Carolina Bamboo will guide students through the process, including a live demonstration of traditional Japanese bamboo splitting techniques. Participants will also learn how to hand-strip locally harvested kudzu vine and incorporate it into their work (pre-stripped vine will be available if needed).

Each student will complete a circular basket approximately 6” wide by 5” tall, with the option to add a simple handle.

This class is perfect for anyone ready to slow down, work with natural materials, and create something beautiful by hand. 🌿

*****Please be advised this workshop is about 4-5 hours long and Limited to 10 participants for quality control!
