Escape to Margaritaville AUDITIONS

Theatre of Gadsden is pleased to announce auditions for the Broadway musical ​Escape to Margaritaville!
Performances will be July 18-20 & 25-27
The audition process will be two days.
May 12th at 6:30 pm will be a musical audition.
May 14th at 6:30 pm will be callbacks.

Audition requirements:
-Auditionees will be asked to sing one verse and the chorus of a Jimmy Buffett song. You may
provide your own accompaniment in the form of a karaoke track played from your phone and an
external speaker. Auditions will go in the order of arrival.
-Those auditioning for the role of “Tully” (lead) must play and sing a solo acoustic version of any
Jimmy Buffet song.
-Callbacks will be on the second day. They will consist of cold reads from the script. No
prepared monologues are required.
-We will need a complete list of conflicts for months of May, June, and July.
This show needs to capture the vibes of an island resort. Think warm, salty breezes and ice-cold boat
drinks. Watch some YouTube videos of Jimmy’s concert footage if you need some inspiration. Bring
that vibe with you, and break a leg!
